How Can I Use YouTube to Build My Business?

Video is one of the most powerful ways to connect with potential customers. And, YouTube is a great way to expand the number of people who see your video efforts. Locate a good videographer, so your videos look professional, and you will have a good starting place. Here are some tips for maximizing the effectiveness of your YouTube videos.
1. There are many types of video productions that can be effective. One of the best ways to get ideas is to spend some time browsing the videos on YouTube. Your goal should be to create something interesting, engaging—or even funny (if appropriate for your business). For example:
Product displays—Don’t treat your displays like still photos. They should not look static.
How-tos—Demonstrate your expertise or how to use your products.
Customer testimonials—These can be very powerful, but shouldn’t seem too polished.
Community Involvement—For local companies, sponsorship of a community or charitable event can be a good video opportunity.
Branding videos—This could a company principal talking about the company’s culture or mission, or a video showing how staff work together to serve customers. Anything, really, that represents your brand well.

2. Use the categories on YouTube to create videos that will easily be found by potential customers using YouTube’s search engine. Make sure that you categorize your videos appropriately and apply appropriate keyword-rich tags to describe them, including tags that describe your location.

3. Post your videos to your website, and invite your visitors to subscribe to your channel on YouTube. That way, you can keep them informed of any new videos you create.

4. Use your Facebook page and Twitter account to further increase the number of people who see your video.
